The Vow

Do you really appreciate your loved ones? Do you cherish every moment you have with your companion? What if one day he or she, has completely lost the ability to remember the years and milestones you have been through? Well, let "The Vow" take you through a turbulent relationship so strong, that it's definitely a source of inspiration that embodies the absolute meaning of true love.

Based on a true story of an American couple, "The Vow" is Golden Globe-winning director Michael Sucsy's directorial effort, which portrays the trials and tribulations faced by Leo (Channing Tatum) and Paige (Rachel McAdams) after surviving a car crash. Due to a brain trauma inflicted on Paige, she's unable to recount her romance with Leo, as well as their recent marriage which happened only a few months ago. Tragically sweet, Leo who then becomes a stranger to his wife, gives his best to win her heart back again one day at a time.

At a glance, the cast of the movie is without a doubt attractive enough to bring audiences deeper into the story. Tatum's funky but romantic portrayal of Leo has added in a rather pleasant charm for the character. Every little joke and touching move he makes especially for Paige, will in turn also make audiences fall for him.

McAdams's sweetness blends well with Paige's 'All-American girl' characteristics as she embodies the free-spirited woman who just wants to enjoy her life and do whatever she's looking forward to without caring what others think about her.

Set in Chicago, "The Vow" exhibits the lush landscape of the 'Windy City' as it takes one for a walk through the snowy Chicago streets, Lake Michigan, old railways and the Cloud Gate at the popular Millennium Park.

The melody of the soundtrack is also well-fitting of the movie, what with tracks like; Matt Pond's "Specks", Phosphorescent's "Nothing Was Stolen" and "Scott Hardkiss's "Come On Come On" which brings one on a heighted journey to accompany the roller-coaster ride the couple goes through.

"The Vow" has its unique and inspiring aspects which can teach lovers in learning how to not take moments with your partners for granted, as Leo says it best, "Life's all about moments of impact and how they change our lives forever. But what if one day, you could no longer remember any of them?"
